Details
J-VAC® vaccine is a broad-spectrum bacterin-toxoid that protects against coliform mastitis caused by Escherichia coli and the effects of endotoxemia caused by E. coli and Salmonella Typhimurium.
It is approved for a whole-herd protocol and can be used for lactating cows, heifers or dry cows.

Dosage & Administration
Administration
- For vaccination against coliform mastitis, inject one 2 mL dose intramuscularly or subcutaneously at seven months of gestation or at dry-off. Revaccinate one to three weeks before calving. Approved for whole-herd use.
Timing
- For vaccination against the effects of endotoxemia, whole-herd vaccination may be done at any time. Vaccinate with one 2 mL dose followed by a second 2 mL dose two to four weeks later.

Precautions
- Store away from heat or direct sunlight at 35-46ºF (2-8ºC).
- Do not freeze.
- Do not mix with other products.
- Use entire contents when first opened.
- Do not use chemicals to sterilize syringes or needles.
- Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slighter.
- In rare instances, administration of vaccines may cause lethargy, fever, and inflammatory or hypersensitivity types of reactions.
- Treatment may include antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, and/or epinephrine.
- In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
